As I said in an earlier post I have some money from winnings built up on Global poker but not sure if I like their withdraw methods so I have just left it on the site and every once in awhile I play way out of my normal buy in limits.. today was one of those days when I was gettting bored donking around in the low stake sngs I played a few higher buyin sngs and managed to take one down lol

    9 player SNG $40 + 4 = 1st place winnings $180.00

I am not sure how to upload my screen shot yet

Perhaps you can do a screenshot link with Gyazo? Anyway, congrats. I have a few sites I never expect to get to withdraw. I don’t play them much, but I suppose I can be a little looser with the bankroll, so I might follow your lead.

Good luck to you and see you at the tables,

i don’t know about you all but if i worked hard and invested hours to accumulate a nice chunk of change like $500, i wouldn’t want to waste that away by testing higher limits knowing you can lose it all in just a few seats. i’d much rather keep grinding or at a minimum open a new bank account, get your deposit, and just close it if you want. $500 is still a nice amount!

as for the question, i’m still a micro stakes player. i don’t play cash games. my mtt and sng max is $3.5. i have way more than 100x the buy in, but i multitask and these micro stakes allow me to focus on other things. if i were to play $5-10 buy ins, then i know i’d have to pay a lot more attention and wouldn’t be able to multitask.

Yes that’s very true and seems like what I need to do because when I build up a nice bankroll I often think I need to open a new bank account just for poker but never do… and if perhaps if I had a bank account in place to withdraw my winnings then I wouldn’t risk it all and I could use these winnings for other things I usually do play for months with as if it was like play money and end up losing a lot of it often feeling like it was not real cash, but yes it definitely is or was lol I guess I need to get myself better organized.

i think the biggest thing here is that you don’t want to keep playing on global. i’d hate to see that hard earned money go to waste just because you didn’t trust global to pay out.

Well don’t get me wrong… they use to pay out via paypal and it was fast and great this is when i got hooked and i have taken a lot of my funds off when it use to be paid out that way… they do still make quick payouts once verified as far as i know but its just me not wanting to give my personal banking info to any poker site and that’s the only option to withdraw winnings now they got rid of the paypal options. I use to use e wallets back in the day, or just get a cheque mailed out to me, but I have never had winnings deposited to a bank account. I am thinking of doing what u suggested and getting a separate account for this as i do like the games offered and do fairly well on that site. thanks

yea think that’s the right way to go. just make sure you uninstall global and don’t get back on! it’s kind of what i did with bovada. i absolutely couldn’t stand the anonymous feature so took the money, uninstalled, and never been happier leaving that site.
